Celebrating the Biodiversity at Sunder Nursery – Sunder Nursery was established as a nursery in the early 20th century when the British were laying foundations for New Delhi. A nursery was founded here where plants for the new capital city were propagated and grown. Plant species from all over the British empire were transported here, which includes some rare and some dating to as far as 200 years old.There are few trees which are rare in Delhi and have only one specimen at Sunder Nursey.

A group of trained heritage guides formed in 2009 with a vision of involving the local community for sharing the tangible and intangible heritage of Nizamuddin Basti with the support of Aga Khan Trust for Culture.
