Dastangoi is the art of storytelling, which reached its zenith in the Indian subcontinent in the 19th century. It was revived again by the historian, author, and director Mahmood Farooqui in 2005. The Dastango, or the storyteller, is at the heart of Dastangoi, narrating their tales using them as their own weapon to spread love and art.
The performance will be followed by an exclusive culinary experience of the famed Nizamuddin cuisine, by Zaika-e-Nizamuddin, the celebrated women chefs of Nizamuddin.

Aamir Ahmed is a trained Dastango, the first one from Hazrat Nizamuddin Basti, who has been performing since 2013. He is trained under the renowned storytellers Ankit Chadha and Mehmood Faruqui saheb. Aamir has given many memorable performances including at the World Book Fair in Pragati Maidan, Jashn-e-Rekhta and others.

Zaika-e-Nizamuddin is a women's owned enterprise from Nizamuddin, offering the area's rich culinary traditions. Every dish is a part of centuries-old heritage cuisine, prepared from scratch, using fresh ingredients and hygienic practices.
