AKTC de-silted the wells which continue to be a major reservoir for rainwater harvesting

Restoration
Following major structural repairs, the bricks -surkhi cement plaster applied here in 2003-06 was removed and replaced with traditional lime plaster layers.
Leveling
Removal of cement concrete from the floor helped in revealing the original floor levels.
Lattice screen
New lattice screens prepared individually by the master craftsmen, using traditional tools have now been installed in the missing arched openings.
Roof
It required major repairs including removal of existing cement concrete and restoring a traditional lime-based flooring.

Façade
Built in the 18th-century Lakhori brick, the facade is ornamented in a floral style.
Front View
The unique structure could have been a mausoleum or simply a garden pavilion.
Chajjas
The chajjas were re-installed on the basis of fragments found embedded in the parapet wall which indicated the thickness of the stone removed and the angle it was laid out at.
Lattice screen
Sandstone lattice screen fragments were discovered during clearance works; these provided the basis for re-installing the lattice screens in the three arched openings

Lakkarwala Burj Interiors
The ornamentation on the internal wall surfaces was cleaned to expose the original details, and missing incised plasterwork was reconstructed following the original pattern.
Gardens
To the east of Lakkarwala Burj, a rose garden was created in 2010, which has 31 beds with 19 rose varieties.
Quranic inscription
The monument, with arched openings in each of its four sides, has profusely ornamented interiors with Quranic verses in incised plasterwork encircling the room

The four arched openings over the doorways originally had sandstone lattice screens which were missing at the onset of conservation works.
Quranic inscription
The Quranic inscription inside the monument on the lintel level was carefully repaired including restoration of the inscription in matching calligraphic style and approved by scholars
