With one large Amphitheatre and another quaint one situated by the rivulets, the Park will be a hub of cultural and environmental avenues.

Wander through the manicured grass lawns and flower beds housing over 80 varieties of flowers.

The Indian fig tree, popularly known as Goolar is native to Australia and tropical Asia. Most parts of the tree are used in traditional treatments and have multiple health benefits.

Set amidst the cultural neighborhood of Nizamuddin Auliya, Amir Khusrau and Rahim, the amphitheater sits in the perfect setting of world heritage sites.

A diverse habitat where plants & wildlife thrive – Sunder Nursery has a variety of grasses ranging from water living plants to submerged ones.

With plants ranging from tulsi/basil, Ashvagandha, Brahmi and Ajwain – the Herbal garden is a treasure trove of healing powers.

The team has setup specialized structures like Bee boxes and ínsect hotels’ which provides dwelling habitat to a diverse type of bees and insects.

The trees of the park attracts attention not only due to their historic longevity, but also platforms for visitor engagement – like swings, ropes, treehouse around and on the trees.

With 20,000 saplings planted here over the past decade and truckloads of construction rubble removed, 80 species of birds have already returned to Sunder Nursery with many more expected!

This 17th century foliated tank which was in a dilapidated state, is now home to beautiful lotus and venue to public art displays.

Sunder Nursery Lakes & Rivulet houses over 30 lakh litres of water and is home to several species of water-living plants, floating plants and submerged.

Sunder Nursery has 6 UNESCO World Heritage Sites which are a standing testament of the 16th century grandeur and aesthetic.

This zone boasts of micro-habitats representing those historically found in the Delhi region such as ridge, riverine, marshy areas complete with their associated planting

20 acres within Sunder Nursery are dedicated to plant propagation and display of plants by the CPWD, making this the largest nursery in Central Delhi.

Sunder Nursery is home to over 80 bird species and several migratory ones too.

Viewed from the higher plinth of the Sunderwala Burj, with the sun behind the visitor, the garden would appear to be spread like a carpet.

Peacocks, which are often seen in the park and during the monsoons, several are seen in their glorious dance to impress the peahens.

Wining accolades since its opening in February 2018, Sunder Nursery Park was created by AKTC in partnership with CPWD.

Amidst the deafening sounds of urban life, this corner of Delhi offers a sense of calm and quiet that allows one to take notice of the music in gurgling water and bird-song.

Fallen leaves in the Park is collected and used to create vermicompost. Approximately 25 tonnes of vermicompost is harvested every year from this unit

Delhi’s original ecosystems have been revived in the 30 acre wilderness zone at Sunder Nursery
