With 20,000 saplings planted here over the past decade and truckloads of construction rubble removed, 80 species of birds have already returned to Sunder Nursery with many more expected!
This 17th century foliated tank which was in a dilapidated state, is now home to beautiful lotus and venue to public art displays.
Sunder Nursery Lakes & Rivulet houses over 30 lakh litres of water and is home to several species of water-living plants, floating plants and submerged.
Sunder Nursery has 6 UNESCO World Heritage Sites which are a standing testament of the 16th century grandeur and aesthetic.
This zone boasts of micro-habitats representing those historically found in the Delhi region such as ridge, riverine, marshy areas complete with their associated planting
20 acres within Sunder Nursery are dedicated to plant propagation and display of plants by the CPWD, making this the largest nursery in Central Delhi.

Fallen leaves in the Park is collected and used to create vermicompost. Approximately 25 tonnes of vermicompost is harvested every year from this unit
